Slow Carb

So this diet is more like Atkins than I anticipated and it may be a little rough to stay on. The hard part is that these foods are outlawed : all bread, rice (including brown), cereal, potatoes, pasta, tortillas, and fried food with breading.



However there is a mandated binge day (tomorrow for me even though I have only been on the diet one day). I fortunately get to binge during skiing, which normally happens anyway.

Tim Ferris cites one very interesting study in his book, conducted by Kekwick and Pawan, which compared three diets made mostly of protein, or fat, or carbs, and the carb group gained weight while the others lost dramatic weight.
